Water Simulation In Games

Examples in modern games

The grid system makes its way to Terraria, where the fluids may not be realistic at all, but heavily enhance the experience of the player. Even when the 2-dimensions suddenly shift to 3, a system like this ends up adorning Minecraft, as it has a similar logic in 3-dimensional space.

But we are unfortunately more familiar with a particle system, which we often encounter in mobile game ads, which there are countless examples of. But aside from the game design itself, I think we may agree, that the water in these ads looks astonishing and sometimes mindblowing.
